History of Transport - By Rail
History of Transport - By Rail
This pack of 54 playing cards tells some of the story behind the history of transport using rail, trams, trolleys and cable. The earliest form of rail transport was the Diolkos wagonway in Greece where fixed grooves were cut into stone for the transport of boats across the isthmus of Corinth. Amazingly, our modern world now transports millions of people by rail every day. Each card includes an interesting fact together with name and origin and/or manufacturer.
